How does the consultation process work?

The preliminary and comprehensive consults occur with a phone or Zoom call with Dr. Lyda after all the results are analyzed. A personalized plan of action may include supplements, diet, and lifestyle changes. Addressing a person's top 3 health goals is a priority. All aimed to achieve your health goals.

Genetic testing is done with a saliva sample. The test kit is mailed to your home. The sample is easy to collect and send back to the lab.

You will then fill out a detailed past medical history form and review of systems. The basic lab work involves a Urine Organic acids test and Micronutrient evaluation that is mailed to you and returned to the lab. Blood work can be done at any lab, or a phlebotomist can come to your home. Lab testing is geared toward the individual patient. Typical labs include macro and micro nutrients, organic acids, amino acid analysis, Oxidative stress analysis, and hormonal levels. An environmental toxin profile may be needed or Microbiome testing depending on individual symptoms.

How is the genetic testing done?

The YGR saliva test kit is analyzed by an array chip manufactured by Thermo Fisher and processed through Rutgers University RUCDR Infinite Biologics. The testing provides 200,000 SNPs (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) analyzed through proprietary software that is routinely updated. The raw data looks at various pathways involved in functional nutritional support to tell a more comprehensive story of gene function. The software provides a wealth of information about how a person's body makes and uses proteins and enzymes that are critical components to rebuild and repair cells, produce antioxidants, and detoxify.
